The Sleeping Sun was painted on the total solar eclipse in 2024. Although my location did not experience a total eclipse we did see about 70% at totality. It was cloudy, and I almost missed it! But the clouds parted just enough for us to catch a glimpse. Afterwards, I came in and painted the Sleeping Sun with watercolor paints, ink and gold acrylic pens.
